Picking peaches

Maybe i have done pumpkin, apple, orange and some other fruit picking, hence the novice and thrill of peach picking peaches on Sunday did not really spark off a hot stream of excitement. The enthusiasm is still innate in me, perhaps what i am lacking is the passionate feel i get whenever i went to a farm in my younger times.
Farming has always been part of my dream job too. The influence comes mainly from my grandparents who used to own an acre of land in Johor. I recalled the thrill of visiting them during my school holidays then. Planting vegetables, feeding the chickens and ducks, and picking the coconuts in the early morning were some of my favourite things to do. I had some of the best childhood memories that a child of today can never hold.
I finally understood what it meant to be getting old. It is not only physically, even the fire that used to burn in my heart for every little happy thing is not burning twice as hard as it used to be. This fear of losing passion in life is something i need to reignite and rekindle; this maybe a worry that is uncall for but i have to work on it. Life is just too short to morn and dwell on the past where you cannot possibly change or undo what you had done and caused. Time to move on...
